Aprell Will Start her first year as Head Women's Flag Football Coach.
Aprell Williams was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She graduated from Louisiana Tech University with her Bachelor's degree in General Studies and a Minor in Kinesiology. As a senior she placed 4th in the hammer throw at the Conference USA championships in 2016.
In August of 2018 she became the throws graduate assistant for the track team at the University of the Incarnate Word. During her time as a GA Aprell coached Rodney Littlejohn who was the 2019 Southland Conference Indoor first team all-conference in the heptathlon (9th place shot put) and the 2019 Southland Conference outdoor second team all-conference in the decathlon (8th place shot put, 4th place discus). She also coached Klaire Bentley who was the 2020 Southland Conference indoor 6th place finisher in the women's weight throw.
Aprell graduated with her Master's Degree in Sport Management in December of 2020. In January (2021) she became a member of the Fort Scott Track and Field coaching staff, where she entered her 3rd year coaching.
Athletic Director Luke Demko says: "We are thrilled to have Aprell as our Flag Football Coach; she is a hard worker and will bring in the right student athletes to compete in the classroom and on the field".
